Dramatis Personae

Brief biographies of the key figures at Gaslight Press follow below:

Richard Thames Rowan
President & Creative Director
Richard Thames Rowan, a college graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Gaming Systems & Applications from Western Washington University, has worked full time in the hobby and computer games industries since 1995, when he joined the Wizards of the Coast R&D department. He worked on nearly every product Wizards of the Coast released for the following two years. Concurrent with his employment by Wizards, he masterminded and co-founded the company Rubicon Games and worked as the Vice President of Products for two years. In 1997, Richard left both Wizards and Rubicon to join the Microsoft Games group as the Software Test Lead on such titles as Asheron's Call and Allegiance. He is now the senior Software Test Lead for all Xbox™ games produced by the Roleplaying, Adventure, & Technology division of Microsoft. In February, 2001, Richard established Gaslight Press and brokered the acquisition of the Everway™ product line from Rubicon Games. He is currently deeply involved in the creative direction of the Sun & Scale™ product line and overseeing general management of Gaslight Press.

Jesse McGatha
Lead Developer/Creative Director
Jesse McGatha stepped into the hobby game industry in July of 1995 as the President and co-founder of Rubicon Games. In 1996, Jesse stepped down as President of Rubicon to work full time on product development for the Everway product line and other products. In 1997, Jesse retired from daily involvement with Rubicon Games to pursue co-development of the Earth & Sky™ game system with Scott Hungerford and Richard Thames Rowan. He also began working at Microsoft in 1997 on the MSN Gaming Zone. Jesse is now the Release Manager for the MSN Gaming Zone, where he coordinates the release to the web of all Zone projects. In 2001, Jesse joined Gaslight Press as the lead developer for initial Sun & Scale products and as the creative director for the Everway and Earth & Sky product lines.

In addition to the key personnel listed above, Gaslight Press relies heavily on these key contributors in various aspects of the business:

Sherry Floyd has over ten years experience as a graphic designer and comes to the games industry from the highly competitive field of advertising. Sherry currently works for Wizards of the Coast as an Art Director, but she is best known for her central role in the graphic design of Dungeons & Dragons®, Third Edition. She won a 2001 Origins™ Award for Best Graphic Design on the Dungeons and Dragons Monster Manual, Third Edition published by Wizards of the Coast.
